The Division 2 Gunner Specialization has been introduced with the introduction of episode one. If you have the season pass then you have access to the specialization from the start but if you do not then there are a couple of things that you need to do. How To Unlock The Gunner Specialization In The Division 2
In order to unlock the Gunner Specialization in The Division 2, you need to complete the field research. To do this you need to start the Bank Headquarters mission at any difficulty. Note that this should be the normal version of the mission and not the invaded type.
You need to progress through the mission as you would normally and get to Roach. Once you get there, you will notice that there is no shock ammo box. To get the shock ammo box, you need to reach the point where there is an open area and look for a tall building with a billboard related to medicine.
The ammo box is going to be located right next to it. You need to swap to your sidearm now. Once you have done that you can restock on shock ammo. Do not restock on your primary weapon or the field research will not complete.
Shoot Roach with your sidearm to shock him. After that use your primary weapon to clear the area and shoot Roach once more. There is no confirmation regarding how long you should take between shooting Roach, to stay on the safe side, wait 5-10 seconds before shooting him again.
After you are done, simply complete the mission and you are done. Other objectives that you need to complete in order to unlock the Gunner Specialization in division 2 are as follows:
- Capture all Downtown West control points with the Sharpshooter specialization active.
- Defeat enemies using the mounted gun in the Grand Washington Hotel (Normal or harder difficulty).
- Use only marksman rifles to complete public execution activities.
Once you have completed all these objectives you need to head back to the White House and activate the Gunner Specialization.
