Destiny 2 PvE Weapons Guide: Best Energy, Kinetic And Power Weapons

Destiny 2 PvE Weapons

With every new season in Destiny 2, there are updates and patches to weapons, along with other things. So a weapon might be overpowered in one season and useless in the other. This guide will include all the details on the best PvE weapons in Destiny 2 right now. Keep in mind these weapons are good for PvE only.

Best PvE Weapons in Destiny 2

There are weapons in the game that have high crowd control or have high damage output. These will be the weapons I will discuss today. In PvE, all your goal is to take down the wave of enemies and not take any damage. Most of these weapons have these qualities.

Energy Weapons

  1. Gnawing Hunger (Auto Rifle)
  2. IKELOS/Seventh Seraph SMG
  3. Riskrunner (Exotic)
  4. Seventh Seraph CQC
  5. Sunshot (Exotic)
  6. Trinity Ghoul (Exotic)

The Trinity Ghoul and Riskrunner are the best weapons from these for wave clearing. They kill multiple enemies very fast and are your number 1 choice. Seventh Seraph CQC and SMG are good when enemies come in close range to you. No matter how many enemies come, you can out damage them and clear them fast. Sunshot is one best Handcanons in the game, plus its energy type making it even better. Gnawing Hunter is the only good option for an automatic rifle amongst Energy weapons as it has one of the highest damage output.

Kinetic Weapons

  1. Chroma Rush (Auto Rifle)
  2. Dead Man’s Tale (Exotic Scout Rifle)
  3. Extraordinary Rendition (SMG)
  4. Heritage (Shotgun)
  5. Witherhoard (Exotic Grenade Launcher)
  6. Seventh Seraph Officer Revolver (Hand Cannon)
  7. Succession (Sniper Rifle)

Witherhoard is one of the best weapons in PvE. This is because of its great damage and massive area control. The Extraordinary Rendition is an SMG with a high range making it more viable than some rifles because of its attack speed. Dead Man’s Tale is the best option for a sniper rifle as the damage to the head is insanely high. The Chroma Rush has received some tweaks and a new Catalyst which suits it best. Weapons like Heritage and Succession are weaker than the other weapons mentioned above, but you should still try them.

Power Weapons

  1. Anarchy (Exotic)
  2. Code Duello (Rocket Luancher)
  3. Crown Splitter (Titan Sword)
  4. Deathbringer (Exotic)
  5. Falling Guillotine (Sword)
  6. The Lament (Exotic)
  7. Xenophage (Exotic)

Deathbringer was a low used weapon before but has become popular. Mainly because of the new Catalyst added that suits Deathbringer a lot. Anarchy is good for debuffs and has good damage output. For people who like to use swords, Crown Splitter, Falling Guillotine, and The Lament are the best options. Xenophage has never received many nerfs and is a potent weapon to use.

These are some of the best PvE weapons that we recommend for Destiny 2. If you are interested in learning more then you can check out our guide on how you can get Corrupted Key Codes.

I love supporting my team in the workspace and in Summoner's Rift. Unleashing Haymaker Grit as Sett, jumping from wall to wall as Lucio or giving shot calls as a tank in Ahn'Qiraj, supporting is what I do. I love the Soulsborne series and enjoy a good multiplayer.
