The Skull King can be found in the Gaol of the Stagnant Blood. This boss is not optional so you will have to beat him. The boss has health of roughly 72,000 and is highly resistant to Blood. The boss cannot be poisoned, stunned, inhibited or slowed.

The Skull King uses two swords and has many attacks. The following are the attacks that he can use against you and how you can counter them.

The boss will attack froward, then from the right and then from the left. You need to dodge the first strike to the left or to the right. The other two you can dodge backward.

Blood Veil Charge

The Skull King will charge his Blood Veil and then dash at you. Dodge to the left or the right and then attack him.

Charged Attacks

He will use charged attacks with both his swords. You can dodge forward. Try to stay behind the boss and do some damage.

Ichor Explosion

The boss is going to gather Ichor and use an AoE explosion attack around him. The attack does little damage so you can stay there and attack until he recovers.

Cross Attack

The boss is going to cross his arms and is going to attack forwards. He will leap in the air and strike down sending an ichor wave towards you. You can dodge the charge left or right. Wait for him to get close to the ground and then dodge again.
