Reading Eridian writing and interacting with them gives you information regarding the lore of the area. This will rewards you with some Eridium. It will also increase the completing level of the area.

How To Decipher Eridian Writing In Borderlands 3

Make your way through the main story of the game and you will unlock the Eridium Gauntlet that allows you to break Eridium crystals. These are the purple crystals that you come across in the Borderlands 3 world. Without spoiling the game, progress further and you will unlock the Eridian Analyzer which will allow you to decipher the Eridium writing.

You get the Gauntlet by completing the first vault. You get the Eridian Analyzer by progressing the main story and completing another vault. This is what I can tell you without spoiling the game. If you find Eridian writing before you get access to the Analyzer then do not panic. You can always make your way back in order to interact with it.

Eridium can be spent on items offered by Crazy Earl on Sanctuary. You can buy cosmetics from the guy or visit his vending machines that have loot. The items on sale will change from time to time. You can also spend this currency on slot machines that you will find in Sanctuary’s canteen. Spend the Eridium to get a change of winning valuable rewards.
