Borderland 3 has plenty of side quests on each planet that you can check out. In this Borderlands 3 guide, we will walk you through all the side quests available on Athenas. We will cover how you can unlock different side quests on Athenas, how to complete them, and different steps required in getting additional rewards in Borderlands 3.
While all the other planets in Borderlands 3 have multiple side quests that you can take part in, Athenas only has one.
Borderlands 3 Athenas Side Quests
The following is the side quest on Athenas and everything that you need to know about it:
Holy Spirits
For starting this mission, you have to talk to Brother Mendal by getting to the exclamation mark in the Athenas region.
Follow Brother Mendel after listening to what he has to say. The basement of The Holy Distillery will be unlocked by him. Every time you come across a blocked passage in the cellar, look for a small target plate and shoot it. You can accomplish the mission if you can get rid of Ratch Gunk boogers.
There will also be two other objectives that you will receive:
- Get rid of 3 Ratch Broodmother monsters. Fire at them from a greater distance because they are big and very durable.
- An optional task is to get 5 Intoxicated Ratch Lives. Look for big monsters, they are usually lying around on the ground. You can always get more lives by pressing the melee attack button.
You will find a quest item – Bell Striker – in the basement. In order to unlock the exit, you have to complete all the work and get to the big bell and strike it.
Leave all the collected livers from the optional mission objective in the container which is marked by the game. In the surroundings, you will find valuable loot in the chests and caches. Converse with your brother Mendel. You will get XP, credits (more if you have taken care of the optional objectives) and an epic shield.
