You meet Basim pretty early on in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla but once you go through the main story he will confront you and you will need to take down. In this Assassin’s Creed Valhalla guide, we are going to go over how you can beat Basim.
How To Beat Basim In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Basim is very fast and can attack you from different directions. He can also use different tricks such as smoke bombs. This is a very different boss as compared to what you have previously encountered in the game. Basim does not have any health bar that you can see and you can only deal damage to him while in the stone area.
Basim is going to come at you from the upper part of the temple. You will need to be ready and dodge his attack. You will also have a small window in which you can deal some damage. We recommend dealing damage from the start.
Smoke bombs are going to limit your visibility. If you know where his last location was then you can still deal damage even if you cannot see him Basim properly. Most of the attacks are marked with a yellow rune. These attacks can be dodged or parried. There are other attacks that are marked with red runes. These cannot be blocked so you will need to dodge them.
During the first phase of the fight, you can use ranged attacks and aims for Basim’s head in order to deal huge amounts of damage. When the platform starts going down Basim will be able to block projectiles coming his way. This is where you will need to put away the bow and switch to close-ranged weapons instead.
The fight is long but survive long enough and deal enough damage and you will be able to overpower Basim. He will fall to one knee and that is when you will be able to stun him. Going so will cut off his arm and remove the hidden blade.
After that Basim will try and run away and get to Sigurd. You will need to go after him. You will need to jump over obstacles and you will also have some time to pick up some mushrooms in order to replenish your health.
After that, the second phase of the boss fight with Basim is going to start in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. During this phase, you need to avoid being hit by the combos that Basim is going to perform. You will need to counterattack in order to deal damage. During this phase, Basim is not going to use attacks from above or tricks like smoke bombs.
If you have a shield then what you can do is block the attacks a few times and then Basim will be stunned and will fall to one knee. Now perform a stun attack to win against Basim.
