There are plenty of guns in Apex Legends and when you land it might seem like the best option to get the gun that nearest to you but that is not going to be very helpful in the long-run. In this Apex Legends guns guide, we are going to go over everything you need to know about the different weapons in the game.

Apex Legends has all kinds of different guns and the following is what you need to know about them:

Assault Rifles

The following is what you need to know about all the assault rifles in Apex Legends:

Apex Legends Guns

R-301 Carbine

This is a fully automatic rapid-fire assault rifle. It can be used in single-shot mode as well. It is very accurate and the recoil profile spreads vertically up and to the right a little bit.

You get 18 bullets per magazine. It does 14 damage to the body and 28 to the head. You can use mag, optic, stock and barrel attachments with this weapon. It uses light ammo.

Havoc

This assault rifle uses energy ammo. It has half a second wind up time before the first bullet. It also has two possible hop-up attachments. The Turbocharger removes the half a second wind up which makes the weapon very reliable in one vs one situation.

The Selectfire Receiver gives the weapon a special single-fire charge mode that uses 2 energy ammo per shot but in return, the shot turns into hitscan with damage fall-off. This is what makes Havoc a unique weapon in Apex Legends.

Havoc does 18 damage to the body and 36 to the head. You can attach optic, stock and hop-up attachments and the weapon uses energy ammo.

VK-47 Flatline

This auto rifle is mode powerful than the R-301 Carbine but it also has more recoil. It has a single-shot mode and fires 20 bullets per magazine. It does 16 damage to the body and 32 to the head. You can use mag, optic and scope attachments to enhance the weapon. It uses heavy ammo.

Hemlock Burst AR

This assault rifle fires 3-round bursts by default. You can change this to single-fire mode as well. This rifle has the highest damage in the game and does 18 damage to the body and 36 to the head.

You can use mag, optic, stock and barrel attachments with the weapon and it uses heavy ammo.

SMGs

The following is what you need to know about all the SMGs in Apex Legends:

SMG

R-99 SMG

This is a low damage rapid-fire SMG that fires 18 bullets per magazine. It does 12 damage to the body and 18 to the head. You can use mag, optic, stock and barrel attachments with it and it uses light ammo.

Alternator SMG

This is a twin-barrel fully automatic SMG with slight vertical recoil. It fires 16 bullets per magazine and deals 13 damage to the body and 19 to the head. You can use mag, optic, stock and barrel attachments to enhance the weapon and it uses light ammo.

Prowler Burst PDW

This SMG fires 5 bullets in a burst. Each magazine has 20 rounds. You can use it with Selectivefire Receiver hop-up attachment to get the fully automatic mode. It does 14 damage to the body and 21 to the head.

You can use mag, optic, stock and hop-up attachments with the weapon and it uses heavy ammo.

Pistols

RE-45 Auto

This is a rapid-fire, low-damage pistol with a recoil pattern that spreads vertically and curves right. Each magazine has 15 bullets. The pistol does 11 damage to the body and 16 to the head.

You can use barrel, mag and optic attachments with the weapon. It uses light ammo.

P2020

This is a rapid-fire pistol with very little recoil. It has 10 bullets in each magazine. It deals 14 damage to the body and 21 to the head. You can use optic and mag attachments on it and it uses light ammo.

Wingman

This is a single-shot revolver that does some serious damage. It fires slowly but does 45 damage to the body and 90 to the head making it the most powerful pistol in the game. You can attach Skullpiercer Rifling hop-up to boost the headshot damage even more.

You can use Optic, mag and hop-up attachments with this weapon and it uses heavy ammo.

LMGs

The following is what you need to know about all the LMGs in Apex Legends:

Devotion LMG

This gun uses energy ammo and the fire rate increases as you fire more bullets. It has high recoil but you can use a Turbocharger hop-up to make it stable. It shoots 22 bullets per magazine making it one of the most aggressive guns in Apex Legends.

It does 17 damage to the body and 34 to the head. You can enhance it with barrel, optic, stock and hop-up attachments. It uses energy ammo.

M600 Spitfire

This is a fully automatic LMG that uses heavy ammo. While it does more damage than Devotion, it does not fire as fast. It does 20 damage to the body and 40 to the head. You can enhance it with stock, optic, mag and barrel attachments. It uses heavy ammo.

Sniper Rifles

The following is what you need to know about all the Sniper Rifles in Apex Legends:

Sniper

G7 Scout

This is the only sniper in the game that uses light ammo. It also has the lowest damage. It does 30 damage to the body and 60 to the head. You can use stock, optic, mag and barrel attachments with this weapon.

Longbow DMR

This is a semi-auto, slow-firing sniper rifle. Its firing rate is lower than the G7 Scout but it does more damage and uses heavy ammo. You can use the Skullpiercer Rifling hop-up to get even more damage.

It does 55 damage to the body and 110 to the head. You can use stock, optic, mag, barrel and hop-up attachments with this weapon.

Triple Take

This is one of the most unique guns in Apex Legends as it uses energy ammo. It fires three bullets in a horizontal line with a small spread. You can reduce the spread even further with the Precision Choker.

The firing rate of the sniper is similar to the Longbow DMR but the damage is much more and you can fire 5 times per magazine. It does 23 damage to the body per shot and if you can land all 3 bullets in the shot then it does 60 damage. It does 46 damage to the head and if all the bullets in the shot connect then you will deal 138 damage to the head.

You can use stock, optic and hop-up attachments with this sniper rifle.

Shotguns

The following is what you need to know about all the Shotguns in Apex Legends:

Shotguns

EVA-8 Auto

This is an automatic drum-mag shotgun that has a steady firing rate and fires nine bullets per shot. It deals 7 damage per bullet to the body and a total of 63 per spread. It does 10 damage per bullet to the head and a total of 90 per spread. You can use mag and optic attachments with this weapon. It uses shotgun ammo.

Peacekeeper

This might be the slowest shotgun in the game but it does some serious damage to make up for it. It fires 11 bullets in the shape of star per spread. You can use the Precision Choke hop-up attachment to decrease the spread.

This weapon does 10 damage to the body per bullet and 110 in total per spread. It does 15 damage to the head per bullet and 164 per spread. You can use optic, mag and hop-up attachments with the weapon and it uses shotgun ammo.

Mozambique Shotgun

This is a triple-barrel shotgun pistol that fires three bullets in the shape of a triangle. You need to reload it after every 3 shots. It does 15 damage per bullet to the body and 45 in total if you can land all three bullets in the spread. It does 22 damage per bullet to the head and 66 per spread. You can use mag and optic attachments with this weapon. It uses shotgun ammo.

Legendary Weapons

The following is what you need to know about all the legendary weapons in Apex Legends:

Mastiff Shotgun

This is a powerful semi-auto shotgun that fires 8 bullets in each spread. It deals a lot of damage per bullet. It does 10 damage to the body per bullet and 144 per spread in total. It deals 36 damage to the head per bullet and 288 in total. It uses Legendary ammo.

Kraber .50-Cal Sniper

This is a bolt-action sniper that comes with two variable scopes. You can switch between 6x and 10x zoom. This is a very slot gun and you need to bolt after each shot. You also have to reload after 4 shots.

The weapon does 125 damage to the body and 250 to the head. It uses Legendary ammo.
