Realm Currency is a unique type of currency that’s intended to allow players to purchase items from Realm Depot. While it’s only used in the Serenitea Pot for item exchange, its value can be anything but small.
Luckily, this system enables players to create their own homes in Genshin Impact. There are a bunch of realms, and there is a bunch of stuff to do. However, they all hold a common point that interconnects this entire mechanism.
This is the Realm Currency; everything is dependent on it, you purchase and sell items based on this currency. Since money equals power, how can one boost their money-based strength in Genshin Impact by farming Realm Currency? We’re glad you asked!
How Does Realm Currency Work In Genshin Impact?
Realm Currency is your main form of assets that can be used to make exchanges in the Realm Depot. The one moderating all of this in the Realm Depot is called Tubby, and his lookalike sitting in the Traveling Depot is called Chubby.
With that said, here’s how the main mechanism works:
- You can collect the Realm Currency from Tubby whenever you want.
- Tubby acts like a lender that holds your currency for you once it generates.
- The Realm Currency automatically generates with time between 4/hour and 30/hour rates.
- The rate at which Realm Currency generates is equivalent to your rank.
As mentioned previously, there is a maximum amount that Tubby can hold at a time. Your realm currency will stop generating once you’ve reached that amount.
Therefore, we recommend you take your deposits out at a constant rate in order to prevent loss of opportunity cost.
Farming Realm Currency Fast In Genshin Impact – Guide
There aren’t many methods of obtaining Realm Currency in the first place. It is primarily gained from the Jar of Riches, and is used once you purchase a relevant item in exchange for it.
Having said that, a few recent updates have made an overhaul to how the Realm Currency system works. We will be covering those bits along with the method of obtaining the Realm Currency.
As a player, you will receive a bit of currency in your Jar of Riches each year. This amount can either be high or low, depending on your Adeptal Energy Rank.
Unfortunately, there’s no other way of boosting the outflux of Realm Currency directly. Therefore, you’d have to get your hands dirty on Adeptal Energy Rank instead.
Realm Currency: Jar of Riches Tiers
Currently, there are a total of 10 energy tiers depending on your adeptal Energy Rank. There’s no way to cheat the system, but you can admittedly get a whole lot more if you try to follow it loyally.
With that said, here is all the Jar of Riches Tiers – based on the Adeptal Energy Rank:
- Bare-Bones: This is the lowest of the bunch. You don’t need any Adeptal Energy to unlock their rank, as it is granted at the beginning by default. You will be making 4 Realm Currency/Hour as long as you stay here, so collecting as much Adeptal Energy as possible is recommended.
- Humble Abode: This is the second lowest rank. While it is twice as better as the Bare-Bones one, the Adeptal Energy required to reach here is 2000 – which can be a bit troublesome to source. With that said, you will be making a total of 8 Realm Currency/Hour.
- Cozy: This is the third tier when it comes to Adeptal Energy Ranks. You would require a total of 3000 Energy points to reach here. While not as big of a jump as the second one, you will still be making 12 Realm Currency/Hour.
- Queen-Size: This is the point where your Adeptal Energy Ranks tend to start holding meaning. Although, you would need to have 4500 Adeptal Energy points even to reach this tier. TLDR: you will be making 16 Realm Currencies on an hourly basis.
- Elegant: In terms of ranks, this is the link between the lower tiers and the higher ones. You’d have to gather 6000 Adeptal Energy in order to reach here. As for the currency generation, you will be sitting cozy at 20 Realm Currency/Hour.
- Exquisite: This realm is the middle phase of the medium ranks that requires 10,000 Adeptal Energy to unlock. You will be making 22 Realm Currency/Hour while you’re Exquisite rank.
- Extraordinary: The final tier of the low jumps, the Extraordinary rank, is where the jumps to newer ranks begin to feel slightly harder. You’d be making 24 Realm Currency/Hour here.
- Stately: The Stately rank required you to have 12000 Adeptal Energy. You’d be making a total of 36 Realm Currency/Hour here.
- Luxury: This rank generates a total of 28 Realm Currency/Hour, and requires 15000 Adeptal Energy. The leap is higher than usual because this is the second highest rank in the game.
- Fit for a King: As the 10th and the final Adeptal Energy rank, the Fit For A King requires a whopping 20,000 Adeptal Energy to reach. You’d be generating the maximum here i.e. 30 Realm Currency/Hour.
How Much Time Does It Take For Realm Currency To Fill?
Calculating the time it takes for Adeptal Energy to completely fill up in the reserves is as simple as calculating the maximum value you can hold.
For example, the maximum amount of Realm Energy for Tubby to hold at rank 10 is 2400 points. Since you’re generating 30 energy per hour at minimum, it’ll take a total of 80 hours for that to fill up.
In order words, you will reach the maximum realm currency in around 3 days and 8 hours.
Is Realm Currency Unlimited?
Unfortunately, you can only collect as much as your Rank and Tubby’s limit allows you. However, there’s no specific limit to the amount of Realm Currency you can store in your inventory. The number can go as high as you want.
So, don’t hesitate to experiment with it to see how high it can go. Besides, most players tend to collect as much as possible in order to spend it all away in a single shot. This is based on the logic of compound probability.
How To Increase Adeptal Energy Rank?
The Adeptal Energy rank is a metric that only increases when one of the following scenarios occur:
- Tubby’s trust in you increases.
- You purchase or put furnishings in your realm.
- You consume Vials of Adeptal Speed.
The more Adeptal Energy you have, the faster it is for you to progress through. However, in certain cases – going at it too greedily can often backfire – both in terms of your health, and your gaming efficiency.
Unfortunately, the Vials of Adeptal Speed are only obtained by exchanging your realm currency, so it can be a bit ironic at times.
There is no set-in-stone amount promised for each piece of furniture. It can vary from type to rarity. For instance, four-star furniture will dish out the most amount of Adeptal Energy points, whereas a one-star unit will be worth scraps.
Is Furnishing Every Realm Worthwhile?
As silly as it might seem, the Realms don’t have that much use once you reach the maximum rank on Adeptal Energy. You can choose to furnish all of them or focus-fire on one. The amount of benefit you’ll gain out of both of them will be pretty same.
Therefore, we recommend you dig only one well since you only need your representation realm to look good. Besides, you can only get 30 currency per hour – even at maximum capacity. So it’s better to just keep them for purchasing packs from Realm Depot.
On that note, here are the current available furnishings available in the Realm Depot:

Now, there’s no actual need to purchase all the items within this list since your Adeptal Energy will probably be long full before that. However, it is a good practice to cash out your Realm Currency whenever possible, so you can make even more in your non-active hours.
Conclusion
In essence, Realm Currency is a metric that’s mostly linked to housing and realm management in Genshin Impact. There’s no active way to obtain it. Rather, you just have to wait for Tubby to generate it for you.
However, that does not mean that the rate of resource generation cannot be increased.
Just focus on improving your adeptal energy, and try to skim out on splurging on anything until you reach the max rank.
You will admittedly have to purchase an awful lot of furniture in order to achieve this, but don’t forget to consume Vials of Adeptal Speed, either!
