Far Cry New Dawn Burning Souls, is the eighth Treasure Hunt side-activity from the video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Burning Souls becomes available after you reach Prosperity.
Unlike the previous Treasure Hunt (The Best Laid Plans), for Burning Souls you don’t need the Grapple Perk; however, you need a source of fire.
This means that you need to have in your inventory some Burning Arrows, Incendiary Rounds, or a Repair Tool.
When you’re ready to start this mission, head to the location marked on our map below.
Treasure Hunt Location
The Burning Souls Treasure Hunt starting point is a village, west of The Watering Hole Outpost.
The location is also known as Eden’s Pyre.
New Eden Note Location
After you reach the Treasure Hunt’s location on the map above, look for a small yellow box containing the New Eden Note, on a rock, next to a tree (pictured below).
“I write this dying. The masked ones ambushed us as we prepared our solemn duty. Now their souls will wander lost before God.
Whoever reads this, I beg you; complete the rite. Gather our Chosen martyrs upon their final pyre and bless their bodies with holy flame.”
Far Cry New Dawn Burning Souls Walkthrough
Although this Far Cry New Dawn Treasure Hunt seems vague based on the note above; things will clear in a minute. Basically, in order to complete it, you’ll have to perform a ritual. Which obviously involves fire.
So start by exploring the area around you. If you follow the white marker on your screen, you’ll find a fire pit. Just like the one below.
The trick here is to find and carry the corpses of 5 martyrs to the fire pit above. And then, set them on fire. So, let’s start with the first Chosen Martyr.
From your current location, simply turn left and you should see the first Far Cry New Dawn Chosen Martyr under a pergola.
Pick him up and then drop his body in the fire pit.
The second Chosen Martyr or New Edener is easier to find. Look for him right by the fire pit.
Moving to the third one, you should be able to find it in the shack pictured below.
Simply turn around and check the room inside this building to find him next to a table. Again, bring his corpse to the fire.
The corpse of the fourth Chosen Martyr can be found on the watchtower below. This structure is on the left side of the shack you have found earlier.
It is quite easy to spot, and you’ll see the New Edener’s corpse from distance. Grab his body and throw him in the fire.
The corpse of the fifth New Edener or Chosen Martyr is a little more challenging because it’s not inside the camp.
You’ll be able to find it on a higher platform overlooking the camp.
To get there, you can go outside the camp by following the gate where you found the fourth corpse, then head left and follow the hill’s edge. Get the corpse and return to the fire.
Now that all corpses are in the fire pit, start the ritual by setting them on fire. As mentioned you can do it using a Fire Arrow, Incendiary Rounds, and basically, any other source which produces flames.
Finally, after the corpses burn, you should see a new marker on your screen showing the location of the secret stash and treasure room.
As you can see in the picture above the Burning Souls Treasure Hunt hidden stash is inside a cave close to the fire pit.
Hidden Stash Rewards
Once inside make sure you loot everything. Don’t leave the cave without the Perk Magazines and the following Crafting Materials:
