The staff of Homa is the best in slot weapon for Hu Tao as it features crit damage as one of the main stats. Its passive gives you additional HP and boosts your attack depending on Hu Tao’s max HP. You get an additional attack buff if Hu Tao’s HP falls below 50%. This is a 5-star weapon, so you already need to have it or you can wish on the next weapons banner that features the Staff of Homa.
If you are a low spender, then you can opt to go with the Deathmatch polearm. You can get this from the battle pass. It features crit rate as one of the main stats which is ideal for Hu Tao. The passive of the weapon increases your attack and defense if there are more than 2 enemies around you. If there is a single enemy around you then you get a significant increase in attack. These buffs can be increased further by refining the weapon with multiple copies.
Blackcliff Pole is another 4-star weapon that you can use on Hu Tao if you are not interested in wishing on the weapons banner. You will need to spend star glitter in the shop in order to get it. The weapon has crit damage as the secondary stat which is ideal for a DPS Hu Tao build. The passive of the weapon increases attack or 12% for 30 seconds after you defeat an enemy. Crimson Witch Of Flames is the set that you should go for. 2-pieces are going to increase pyro damage by 15%. 4-pieces increase overload and burn damage by 40%. You also get a buff of 15% for vaporize and melt. With 4-pieces, the 2-piece bonus is increased by 50% for 10 seconds after you use an elemental skill. This can stack up to 3 times.
