Rikiwulf is one of the many bosses that you will need to take down in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. In this Assassin’s Creed Valhalla guide, we are going to go over how you can beat Rikiwulf.
How To Beat Rikiwulf In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
You face off against Rikiwulf in the first main quest called Honor Bound. This is the first major encounter in the game. The boss can use a two-handed axe and dual hammers. The axe attacks are slow but the dual hammer attacks are pretty fast.
When Rikiwulf comes at you with attacks with the two-handed axe such as the uppercut or overhead swing then you will see a red ruin. This means that the attack cannot be blocked or parried. You will need to move out of the way or step back in order to avoid the attack and receiving damage.
Rikiwulf is going to be open to attacks after a missed attack. This is when you can land a couple of blows. Once you have done enough damage to the boss, he is going to drop the heavy axe and is going to use his two hammers instead. This is going to increase the attack speed of the boss and will allow him to come at you with attack combos.
You can avoid these incoming attacks but we recommend that you block and counter in order to deal more damage and have the upper hand by parrying said attacks. Press the block button right before you get hit in order to parry and counter.
When you parry successfully, the boss will take a knee and will be vulnerable to incoming attacks for a decent period of time. This is when you can deal some considerable damage.
With the two hammers in hand, Rikiwulf can use his front kick special attack. You will see the red flags when the boss is about to use this move. You can move out of the way or dodge in order to avoid getting kicked.
Parry as many attacks as possible and perform counters in order to defeat Rikiwulf. This is how you can beat Rikiwulf in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. If you are interested in learning more about the game then you can check out our guide on how you can beat Fenrir.
