The battle with Fenrir is part of the Binding Fate storyline in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. We try not to include spoilers in our guides but at times it cannot be helped. We recommend that you not read ahead if you do not want to spoil the game for yourself. In this Assassin’s Creed Valhalla guide, we are going to go over how you can beat Fenrir.
Eivor comes back to Asgard and needs to bind Fenrir with the unbreakable chain. Fenrir allows a rope around his neck when requested by Tyr but when he feels that he is being tricked then he picks a fight with Eivor.
How To Beat Fenrir In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Fenrir is very big and pretty powerful. We recommend getting to level 300 before trying to take him on. He is weak in the legs and you will need to shoot arrows at them in order to deal damage. You can wait for him to go underground and dodge the attack that follows.
Fenrir is going to stay in place for a short time and you will be able to attack his back legs. Shooting arrows from a distance is a good way of taking out the boss and the Nornir ability is going to help with that.
If you want to get close and personal then you should wait for him to come out of the ground. He is vulnerable when that happens. You need to stay behind his back paws and land some quick hits in order to deal damage and make the most of the time frame that you have.
Note that if you are caught in the digging attack then Fenrir is going to throw you into the air and then is going to bite you. Which is going to cut away a major portion of your health. You will need to press the prompt on the screen in order to free yourself.
Even though Fenrir is pretty big, he is agile and can jump at you with considerable speed. When this happens you will see a red rune. This means that the attack cannot be blocked or parried and you will need to dodge it. Jump to the side and you will have enough time to land two quick strikes.
Once the health of the boss falls to one-third, you will be able to bind the boss tighter. This is when the second phase of the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Fenrir boss fight starts. During this phase, Fenrir is going to hold a tree in his mount and attack you with it. The attack has a better range so you will need to react accordingly.
If you are able to dodge the incoming attack then Fenrir will lose balance. This is where you will be able to attack the boss a couple of times. Target the hind lets in order to deal the most damage. Once the health of the boss falls to one-third, you will be able to bind the boss tighter. This is going to trigger the third phase of the boss fight.
During the third phase, Fenrir is going to jump onto a cliff and throw boulders at you. You cannot deal damage when he is on the cliff. You will need to dodge the incoming rocks. When he comes back to the ground he can use his special attack in which he runs around and creates a tornado. You need to stay away from it in order to avoid damage.
There is nothing more to the boss fight. Just deal damage to the hind legs and you will take down Fenrir. Once the HP of the boss falls to zero you will be able to bind him once last time and that will conclude the boss fight.
