Genshin Impact Diluc Guide: Ascension, Talent Materials, Best Weapons, Artifacts

Genshin Impact Diluc

Diluc is one of the best pyro damage dealers in Genshin Impact and is the character that I have used the most in the game. In order to make the most of the character, you need to level him up and get the right artifacts and weapon. In this Genshin Impact guide, we are going to go over the materials you need to level up Diluc and recommend a build for him.

Genshin Impact Diluc Ascension And Talent Materials

In order to deal high damage numbers, you need to level up Diluc and upgrade his talents. The following are the materials that you need in order to do that.

Ascension Materials

The following are the materials that you need in order to level up Diluc to 90:

  • 1 Agnidus Agate Sliver
  • 9 Agnidus Agate Fragment
  • 9 Agnidus Agate Chunk
  • 6 Agnidus Agate Gemstone
  • 46 Everflame Seed
  • 168 Small Lamp Grass
  • 18 Recruit’s Insignia
  • 30 Sergeant’s Insignia
  • 36 Lieutenant’s Insignia

You are also going to need 414 Hero’s Wit and 420,000 Mora. You can get Agnidus Agate Silver and higher tier variants of the resource from the Pyro Regisvine boss. You will need 40 original resin for each encounter. The boss also drops Everflame Seeds. Small Lamp Grass can be found in areas where there is shade. You can find this resource in Whispering Woods and Stormterror’s Lair. You can get Recruit’s Insignia and higher tier variants of the resource by beating Fatui enemies.

Talent Materials

The following are the materials that you need to upgrade Diluc’s talents:

  • 9x Teachings of Resistance
  • 63x Guide to Resistance
  • 114x Philosophies of Resistance
  • 18x Recruit’s Insignia
  • 66x Sergeant’s Insignia
  • 93x Lieutenant’s Insignia
  • 18x Dvalin’s Plume
  • 3x Crown of Insight

Dvalin’s Plume can be earned by beating Storm Terror. Crown of Insight can be earned from special events or by upgrading the Shrine tree in Inazuma.

Best Genshin Impact Diluc Build

In order to deal high amounts of damage with Diluc, you are going to need the right artifacts and weapon. The following is the build that we can recommend.

Best Weapons

Wolf’s Gravestone is the best weapon for Diluc as it provides a 40% damage buff against enemies that are weakened. This is a 5-star weapon, so you will need to spend your Primogems on the weapon banner if you do not already have it.

The Prototype Archaic is an impressive 4-star alternative that has a 50% chance of dealing extra 240% damage to enemies. This can be forged at the Blacksmith so refining it is going to be straightforward and you can unlock the full potential of the weapon.

Skyward Pride is another 5-star weapon that you can use on Diluc. It has energy recharge as the bonus stat and it increases damage by 8%. After you use an elemental burst, a charged attack, or a normal attack, a vacuum is created and it does 80% of attack as damage.

Sacrificial Greatsword is another 4-star weapon that we can recommend for Diluc. Especially if you have a few copies and have it refined. It has energy recharge as the bonus stat and once you defeat an enemy there is a chance that your skill cooldown is canceled. This means that you can spam your skill over and over again with Diluc.

Best Artifacts

Crimson Witch of Flames artifact set is what we recommend for Diluc. This set increases pyro damage by 15%. It also increases overload and burn damage by 40%. There is no set in the game that is a better fit for Diluc. All you need is good stats. We recommend pyro damage bonus on the goblet and crit rate or crit damage on the headpiece.

If you do not have great stats on all your Crimson Witch of Flames set pieces then you can go with 2-piece Crimson Witch of Flames and 2-piece Gladiator’s Finale. This is going to give you a 15% pyro damage bonus and an 18% attack boost.

This is the best build for Diluc in Genshin Impact and the build that you should use in order to deal high amounts of damage with him. If you want to learn more about the game then you can check out our guide on Ningguang.
