Gears 5 is available now and some players are facing some matchmaking issues. The Coalition has responded and mentioned that the team knows of the issue.
Matchmaking issues is not a good thing in a multiplayer game and the same is the case with Gears 5. Here is what the Coalition had to say about the matter:
We are seeing reports from a small percentage of users that are experiencing difficulty matchmaking and/or getting disconnected from online services. We are actively investigating the issue and are working hard to get all users connected ASAP.
Not only have players experienced issues in the multiplayer part of the game, but they also found issues in campaign matchmaking as well. Since the launch of the game, most of the issues have been fixed but if you are still facing issues then you can check out the official site and submit a ticket.
If you are still not seeing your Halo: Reach and 30 Days of Boost bonuses, please hard reset your device as this should cause them to appear. If this does not resolve the issue, please submit a Support Ticket.
People have been waiting for this game for a very long time and now that it is finally out, this is not an impressive start. The fans are excited indeed and it will be interesting to see what the community has to say about the new game and the different multiplayer modes that it has to offer.
Gears 5 did have a rocky start but it is nice to see that the devs are working on fixing the issues. Things should be better when the game is available properly on Steam and other platforms. You can play the game as part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription. In other news, the game has microtransactions but they are cosmetic only.
Let us know what you think about the Gears 5 matchmaking issues and whether or not these have effected you.
