Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Francois Boss Guide – How To Beat

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Francois

Another boss in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is Francois, the giant robot. To start the fight, you need to deal with five enemy waves. After that, Pierre will send his stunt double, Francois, to deal with you. This Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart guide will include all the details on how to defeat Francois.

How to defeat Francois Boss in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

The giant robot you are about to face packs a punch but is slow in movement. Francois has two primary weapons, a rocket launcher and a hammer for a hand. Francois only has one long-range attack, and that is his rockets.

He will occasionally launch the rockets at you. These rockets are not homing but will follow you around for a bit. It would be best if you kept moving to avoid getting hit. Do not stop at any point in the boss fight, as the boss can take advantage of this. Most of Francois’s attacks are close-range, and he makes shockwaves on the platform. He will jump on you and make a shockwave around his impact area. He can follow this up with a hammer smash which can cause a shockwave as well.

Minions and Terrain

In this fight, you will be not only fighting Francois but also his minions and the terrain. When he hits 50% hp, he will start spawning minions at you. These minions are not that troublesome, but you can be in a tough spot if they gank up on you together.

You can make use of Mr. Fungi’s weapon or Topiary Sprinkler to distract and immobilize them. The terrain you will fight Francois in is not the best arena. You will have to look out for warning signs indicating flames caused by jets. Using weapons with decent damage at long range is the most optimal option. This will allow you to avoid most of the shockwaves and defeat him.

I love supporting my team in the workspace and in Summoner's Rift. Unleashing Haymaker Grit as Sett, jumping from wall to wall as Lucio or giving shot calls as a tank in Ahn'Qiraj, supporting is what I do. I love the Soulsborne series and enjoy a good multiplayer.
