The Dream Solvent is a consumable that allows you to convert 5* Character Level-Up Materials. It’s generally quite rare to find due to its 4* rarity. 

Here’s the official effect description of the Dream Solvent:

“An item capable of changing Character Level-Up Materials obtained from memories and trials into whatever form is needed.”

Since this consumable belongs to the Precious Items category, it has a pretty steep drop rate compared to normal materials. 

Therefore, you’d have to become pretty grindy in order to obtain the necessary amount of Dream Solvent. 

How To Use Dream Solvent?

The Dream Solvent can be used by going to the Crafting Bench and choosing conversion recipes. To put it bluntly, just follow the steps mentioned below and choose your desired recipe:

• Within the Serenitea Pot, create or use an Alchemist’s Crafting Bench. You can also select the ones spread across Teyvat. 
• Navigate your way to the Conversion Recipes, and filter everything down to Transfigured Dreams. 
• Lastly, use the Dream Solvent to convert materials. 

There are no Mora costs associated with this method of conversion; the only guaranteed resource usage is the Dream Solvent itself.

Crafting With Dream Solvent – Conversion Recipes

There are a total of 28 items that can be converted using the Dream Solvent. While some of them only utilize a single unit of the solvent, the higher-ranked ones can consume twice as much. 

In total, you’d need around 38 Dream Solvents to convert the current items in Genshin Impact. With that out of the way, here are all the necessary conversion recipes:

How To Obtain Dream Solvent?

The Dream Solvent is generally given out as a reward for completing the Trounce Domains along with the Wolf of the North Challenge. 

Alternatively, you can also obtain it by completing the No Mere Stone Quest.

Trounce Domains

These domains contain powerful bosses that spawn on a weekly basis. Once spawned, a boss will remain there for a week and can be accessed any number of times once you’ve taken them down and have completed their Archon quests. 

Their dropped rewards are rather random. Therefore, you might or might not be able to obtain the Dream Solvent – depending on your luck.

Wolf Of The North Challenge

This is a place that allows you to fight Andrius after Act I or Razor’s Story Quest. You can challenge the boss whenever you want, and defeating it drops goodies – including the Dream Solvent.

The boss deals Anemo and Cryo damage. Therefore, we recommend you optimize your party before heading into battle. 

Andrius has a total of 438,374 HP on the highest difficulty level. Thus, it can take a while before you take it down. Most of his attacks are dodgeable, so keep going at it until you can defeat Andrius.

No Mere Stone

This is the second act of Zhongli’s story quest. Therefore, you can only unlock it as long as you have the story key.

Aside from that, you also need to complete the following quests:

• Historia Antiqua Chapter: Act  I – Sal Flore
• Chapter I: Act IV – We Will Be Reunited 

There aren’t any specific boss fights in the quest; just keep following the dialogue line, and you’re pretty much good to go!
