Killavolt is another one of the bosses in Borderlands 3. He uses electricity so dealing with him is a bit tricky. In this borderlands 3 guide, we are going to go over how you can beat Killavolt in the game.
How To Beat Killavolt In Borderlands 3
This battle with the boss takes place in the side quest of Kill Killavolt. It can be unlocked on the planet of Promethea’s Meridian Metroplex. However, the same mission has to be completed in the Lectra City location.
This fight with Killavolt happens at the very end of the mission. Get to the Bone Zone after collecting the tokens from the other mini-bosses and hand them over to Killavolt. In those tokens, there will be a trap that Moxxi has prepared because of which the boss is going to lose his force field. Killavolt, unfortunately, has two health bars, one is red and the other is blue.
Most attacks from the boss are electricity-based and are in several forms. However, Killavolt primarily uses lightning for attacking. Another attack includes the use of electrical missiles which shocks you using electricity. In both scenarios, use the continuously moving tactic.
The most common attack which is used by the bosses is electrification of floor tiles on the ground. Keep this in your mind throughout while you are fighting with the boss. Move away from the charged plates as soon as you can. If you continuously want to move, try jumping over the electrified floor plates. Do the same when most of the floor is temporarily charged and you don’t have anywhere else to run.
Attacking Killavolt becomes more difficult because he also uses a large shield that protects him. Even if your attacks break through the shield, they become very weak. Look out for ways of attacking Killavolt from either the back or the sides. You can also attack him once the boss exposes himself while he is preparing himself for performing an electric attack.
You can easily win this fight if you play it in the cooperation mode. One of the players in the cooperation mode can help in moving Killavolt from the back and therefore are able to attack him more frequently.
During the battle, regular mobs might appear randomly in the arena. If not required, do not attack the vanguard of the boss and his adds. Just like all the other difficult fights, you can get your character back (Second Wind) for this fight too after your character is knocked down (Fight for Your Life). You will not have to repeat the fight entirely.
If you are playing alone, the fight with the Killavolt is very long but over time nothing in this fight will surprise you. The boss that you have just killed is going to leave important and valuable loot in the form of eridium, credits and some additional items. Pick the Killa Pack up from the ground for completing the quest.
