The following are the different companions that you can recruit in the game and how you can add them to your raiding crew:

Birna

This is the companion that you can find in Grantebridgescire Companion. While progressing the Stench of Treachery mission in the game, you will have to decide who the traitor is. When you pick the right traitor Birna is going to join your raiding party. The traitor is Galinn. Pick him as the traitor and Birna will join your raiding party.

Finnr

This is the companion that you can find in East Anglia. While progressing the A Fury from the Sea mission, you will need to decide whether to kill Rued or spare him. If you do not kill him then he will come back later. When he does come back you need to step up and beat him. If you choose to not kill him the first time and duel him the second time then Finnr will join your raiding party.

Rollo

This is the unique companion that you can find in Essexe. When you progress the Old Wounds mission, you will need to find out who the traitor at Rollo’s camp is. The choice is between Lork and Gerhild. Gerhild is the real traitor. Choose him and Estrid will not be injured later. But no matter which option you select, Rollo is going to join you.

Vili

Vili is the unique companion that you can find in Snotinghamscire. While progressing the Under the Skin mission, if you let Trygve ignite himself then you will not have the option to pick an Earldorman. Select the dialogue “Snotinghamscire can’t lose another”, so that he will not set himself on fire. Select the dialogue choice “I see Trygve as jarl, and you with me” to select Trygve as the jarl. When you do that Vili will join your team.
